"I vill see them into bed...zen I vill see you in bed," Fleur purred at her wife before leaving to find the children.
Gabrielle was still beneath the tree when Allyson entered the garden. All she did was to shift her eyes to the older woman as she approached to acknowledge her. Other then that she didn't move, and she didn't speak. It was a brief hope that was quickly dashed that Allyson had came to be with her. Her older sister was even more demanding then Gabrielle was.
Laying there still long after Allyson had left, she began to wonder if she had chosen the wrong Turpin. Unable to find the energy to even sit up, she continued to lay there...never noticing a change between day to night. At the Delacour estate, it was always springtime in the day outside. Finally, with the infinite slowness of a corpse rising out of a grave she arose enough to find her feet. Leaving the garden behind, she headed to her room, sensing...nothing. She couldn't find anyone in the bond anymore, let alone glean any clue as to what the surprise might be. There might not even be a bond left.
It was with that thought that she arrived at her room and opened the door. She could smell that someone was there, and she remembered that scent even if it was mixed with soap and water. Standing there in the doorway, hand on the doorknob, she stared into the room for what felt like eternity before stepping back into the hall and closing the door. She would sleep in a guest room tonight.
