“Trouble in paradise?” Clara asked, still looking down at the book. Her tone was not cruel or confrontational. She knew about the impending wedding between Theo and Sara. It was pretty common knowledge. “Having trouble deciding on what color to make the invitations?” Her tone was light, with a hint of bemusement, but managed to skate the line between funny and patronizing on the side of being funny.
“What did Daphne do?” Clara usually steered clear of the Slytherin’s gossip queen. Daphne had lead the charge about trying to figure out what went on behind the scenes of Clara going to the Yule Ball with Kate McKaskill. Of course, she never found out anything.
Clara sat back in her chair, pondering something she had just read. Nibbling on her quill still, she waited for answers to her queries.
