Fleur nodded silently at Gabrielle's reassuring words. When her sister said it, it felt true, truer than if anyone, even herself, had said that she wasn't ugly. Gabrielle had always been the only one besides Fleur herself who could even sway Fleur's mind. If any other person said the words her sister had just spoken, she would roll her eyes and shrug them off as superficial but it was so different when the words came from Gabrielle and Fleur knew in her heart exactly why that was.
Gabrielle was the only person she trusted.
The aggressive kiss from her sister was not something that Fleur had expected. It wasn't that she didn't usually enjoy a little roughness, on the contrary, her Veela usually left room for no less, but now the only thing the aggression from her sister did was cause Fleur, in her weakened and fragile state to whimper and shrink back. A part of her didn't want to, because truly she loved it, her sister kissing her, touching her, it was Heaven. But that part of her was overshadowed by her fear.
"I-I...desole, soeur..." she mumbled and drew her arms around herself. Hanging her head, her hair fell in her face. "I did non mean to pull away...I just..." she took a ragged breath and spoke out in no more than a strained whisper. "I am still so afraid..."
Afraid of what? Of Bellatrix of course. And her final recognition of her supressed feelings and all the new ones showing their faces. And of herself. Will she be alright? Will she have the strength to put in a relationship?
