Ginny had absolutely no idea what to expect when she stepped out of the floo and into Gabrielle’s room. Not surprisingly, she found herself in a room with the trappings of both grace and warmth. The elegance of the room was certainly telling that Gabrielle did not lack for money to give her the finer things, but it was not at all gaudy like some dwellings of the rich.
“That was neat,” Ginny observed with a ready smile, noting the shift in the color of the room when they entered. Of course it was likely some sort of charm or other enchantment, but she wondered if it was more than just a color change and had no idea the origin of the enchantment.
“I can’t believe that I haven’t seen you since the wedding. What have you been up to?” Ginny asked, looking around a little more as she took a few steps inside. They were supposed to be catching up, right?
Ginny tired to push down her feelings of inadequacy. The Weasleys were doing far better now than they ever had, but that hardly made them rich. She wasn’t making that much money playing for the Harpies yet, though she would get a big bump assuming she was invited back to play the following year.
Suddenly, Ginny realized that she didn’t have any clothes or pajamas. Her Irish robes were magical, so they couldn’t be transfigured. Not that likely would want to risk that anyways.
“Ummm…is there any chance that I might borrow something to sleep in?” Ginny asked. “I wasn’t thinking about it and all my clothes are back at the hostel.” She looked at Gabrielle a little sheepishly, trying not to think whether Gabrielle would jus thave her change right there or let her change in the loo.
