Oliver had not been expecting her to suddenly stop in the door way and had no chance of preventing himself from running into her back. Blinking down at her in surprise for a moment, he sighed at her question, lifting a hand to run through his hair in a frustrated manner. He didn't really know how to answer that. He wanted to say no, but what if they couldn't get past this awkwardness.
"We can try," he finally responded, offering her a shrug. The fact that they had at least acknowledged it aloud was something and a bit of their awkwardness slipped away. Even though he had been quite aware of the fact that Katie had been just as awkward as he had soothed some of his nerves, though not all of them. Perhaps those two would fade eventually.
"How about burgers?" he asked, hoping the suggestion would get her moving forward again. This wasn't a conversation they should be having in the locker room. It only made the situation all the more awkward. They could talk about the incident once they were out of the facilities. "I could do with a burger and chips." The suggestion was right up his alley. As much as Oliver kept in shape, he had a particular love for food that was terrible for you. If he didn't keep up with his own work out regiment, he'd never get up into the air.
