The hesitant and uncertainty was so evident that Katie nearly turned and walked away. However, she managed to hold her ground and force herself to look at him. Of course, her cheeks flushed but she gave him a small smile. Things could get back to normal. They had to. Oliver was an incredibly important person in her life and he always had been. She didn't want this to effect them anymore than it already had. Biting her lip, she averted her gaze, trying not to think about him or him seeing her or any of that. Running a hand through her damp hair, she sighed.
"Anywhere is fine," she said picking up her kit and turning around. Somewhere they could... be themselves again and where they could get a drink and forget that he'd ever seen her naked and that he'd looked at her and that she had inappropriate thoughts and that maybe they could just be friends again. Or... something. Anything had to be better than this.
As they headed out the door, the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife, Katie stopped abruptly and turned around, smacking into him. She steadied herself with a hand to his chest before quickly dropping it as though she were burned. Backing up, she looked at him. "Is it just- going to keep being like this?" she asked, eyes worried. Things weren't right between them and it wasn't good. At all. She never would've thought twice about touching him and now... it didn't seem natural.
