Harry smirked indulgently when she insisted that it was just the one day. He distinctively heard a "this week" hanging in the hair behind the statement. He didn't say anything, however, as Hermione was a big girl and could take care of herself as she'd proven many times before. Besides, Harry was no better at remembering such things. Who was he to judge? He knew well enough that nothing harmful would come from Hermione's dedication to her job ... well, nothing health wise anyway. Perhaps an angry heard of House Elves taking over the Ministry, but he couldn't really say that wouldn't surprise him.
Speaking of house elves. "The House-Elf Relocation program?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. That didn't sound like something that was going to go over very well ... at least not if these relocation were what he had immediately assumed they were. While he definitely understood the "slave-like" point Hermione was coming from, he also figured that if they wanted to serve Wizards, there really was nothing to be done about it. Best to leave them to it. "Where exactly are you relocating them to?"
Having already forgotten about the bread in the face of this new topic, he was thankful for Hermione's reminder and went to remove it from the oven. Cutting it into slices he carried first the bread and then the lasagna to the table. Sitting back down, he motioned for Hermione to continue. He was curious as to where she was going with this.
