"Yes I can quite see where those horns are holding up your halo," she retorted with a bemused smile on her face. She didn't actually think that Harry had an ego. Out of all the guys she knew, his was one of the smallest ones she'd ever seen. It was kind of remarkable, considering how full of themselves most guys were. Of course if she continued to flatter and praise him about awful cooking, then that would only lead to disaster. She was saving future people who would come over for dinner.
If the dinner was all messed up, she would just laugh and say they should order take out. It wasn't like she didn't mess up dinner constantly. All of her food came out of a can or heated up in the microwave (yes she had one of those) People messed up dinner. It happened, and was good for a laugh besides.
"Lists are all well and good. I mean I put down there that I have to eat, but then I start a project and it takes longer than I think it's going to be and then it's closer to supper than lunch and I find myself just missing it." She had lots of lists, it didn't mean that she was very good at following them. Just better than she would have if she had let things go all willy nilly. "I just have to start making myself get up and go instead of insisting I wait until I'm finished." Good luck with that.
