"In the neighbourhood?" she asked and laughed and looked at him. "To what, Kathmandu? We're no where near the realm of neighbourhood, Ade. Not that I am complaining." Merlin no would she ever complain about seeing Adrian, even if it was out here where he was decidedly not as comfortable as she was, much to Miles' chagrin. They were in similar business though she tended to be more hands on more of the time. "The company is glad you are here too," she grinned at him.
She wrapped up the artifacts carefully, slipping them back into her messenger bag and them put everything back into her leather-bound journal before slipping it in as well. She should take stock of the dig thus far and besides, Ros was rather distracted now too. "Problems, oh there are always problems, either with the government or Department of Magical Cooperation or the religious sect. But I've been dealing with all of them here for a while, and I am after specific items. Anything else will go to the monks or the museums," she said grinning at him. "And when that fails, there are always ways." Ros didn't like circumventing proper channels but she hated red tape even more.
She looked up as the was movement in the dig site and she moved to stand up, reaching for Adrian to steady herself to stand, and grabbed for her bag and slung it over her shoulder. The others came with raised voices motioning to the tall stranger and she couldn't help but smile and stayed in front of him. She held her hands out and placated them, speaking in Nepalese, that the foreigner was a friend and had no interest in the site. She told them to bring everything recovered up, for they were nearly done.
The others relaxed and nodded and she urged them off again, and Ros turned and slowly smiled at him. "You are very lucky. They thought you were here to steal the artifacts, and me. It could have been very dangerous." She grinned at him and brushed off some of the dust she was covered in. "They're bringing up the items but it could be a bit. You want a drink?"
