Draco saw her enter, and immediately a half-smirk, half-smile appeared on his lips. It was always about appearances with Pansy when they were in public, as she played the social dance so well and Draco enjoyed playing them right along with her. She was one of his favorite partners in this vein, proven by their years of continued friendship. Honestly, no one could ever hope to replace Pansy, even now when she was penniless.
He leaned down as she rose up, making it easier for her to reach his cheek and kiss it. "Pansy, love. It is always wonderful to see you, and I daresay it has been too long. Let me order you a drink and then we can go sit and speak in length." Turning he tapped the bar top, chin raising slightly as he caught the tender's attention. He ordered Pansy's regular drink and asked it be delivered to their table. Then he stepped back and offered her his arm. Their surroundings be damned, they were better than this place and he would never act any different, and neither should Pansy.
"Now, when are you going to tell me what this chit said to you," he asked as he pulled out a chair for Pansy to sit in before taking his own seat.
