That was the thing with Luna. She wanted you to be happy and so long as you were (or she thought you were) she was more than willing to let you go on as you were. There was no concerned looks when you weren't looking or pressing for answers. He enjoyed that. It was also part of the reason, Harry was always in a good mood when she was around. It didn't matter how unhappy he was about his current situation or surroundings, he hid it well and could easily convince himself of the opposite for the simple fact that he didn't want to bother her with it. It helped, in a round about way, cause the longer he held it the better he usually felt.
He chuckled when she asked about the menu. "Perhaps they think you'll order more if you're not sure what exactly you want," he shrugged, giving the menu a brief glance. "I'm good," he responded, instantly. And he was. Things were quiet ... which made him a bit nervous as it usually meant something was going to throw him off, but for the moment he was good. "Lots of paperwork, but other than that, I'm great."
Their conversation halted briefly as their drink orders were taken. "I have to say it's a bit of a relief to have no excitement." Of course, he knew well enough that this feeling would only last so long. Eventually he'd get bored.
