Harry didn't doubt her for a second. Dealing with Animals were so much easier than humans. They had only basic instincts. They were predictable. There was no guessing at what they were thinking. There was no stepping on toes or hurting people's feelings. Just thinking about it briefly and Harry was already convinced that living a life away from society was a much better option. No enemies. No expectations. Nothing. It was a brilliant thought. Of course, he also knew that he'd never be able to stay away. He'd grown so used to his life being hectic that to simply relax was not something he could physically do. He needed something to focus his attention on. Half the time he thought he needed it more than sleep.
Don't get him wrong. He enjoyed being able to interact with his friends and family, but the image of a solitary life was nice. He'd keep it in the back of his mind for those times when he needed a brief escape ... even if he knew it would never be something he had.
Now inside the cafe, the two found a table by the window and settled in. Harry, for his part, was content to spend the entire hour he had for lunch forgetting everything else but the easy conversation. He understood her desire to get back to what she loved doing, but that certainly didn't mean he wasn't going to take advantage of her presence until she departed.
