Harry did chuckle at that, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze as they started to walk down the alley. "Tell me about it," he grinned, referring to her comment about people being hard to understand. Given the last few years of his life, he knew that better than anyone. You simply couldn't understand people. The moment you thought you did, something changed and a new side of them appeared ... whether or not you liked the new side or not, didn't really matter.
He couldn't blame her for not understanding relationships and Harry found him slightly jealous by that. A part of him truly wanted her to experience all of that, but the other part of him said she was better off not knowing. Relationships were difficult, confusing, ended messy, and ruined friendships. That was part of the reason he wasn't fond of this new potion hitting the market. It just gave people false hopes. The storybook endings it promoted were simply not real.
As they continued on down the alley, they chatted about random things; the weather, quidditch, nargles, ect. Harry quickly found himself wondering why he didn't spend more time with Luna. It was such a weight off to just talk about the little things. Reaching the little cafe, he held the door open for her and ushered her inside. "So, once your Father is better, you planning to stick around for a little while or is back to the excitement?"
