Draco paused, waiting to see his friend settled in his seat before moving to gain the attention of a tailor for aide. Before turning away, though, there was a brief upturn at the corner of his mouth, a grateful smile given to his friend. He knew he could be outrageous and difficult when it came to fashion and shopping. But he was raised with a fashion centered mindset. For him, dressing well, being presentable, it was his armor. It protected him against a world which held many that wanted to see him fall. But Malfoy's, they do not fall.
After gaining the attention of a tailor, he started a conversation with the man in French, speaking the language as fluently as if he was a born speaker, but kept the conversation in low tones so Theo would not be able to overhear. In the conversation he relayed his original reason for his presence. A small task to see about browsing their tie styles, patterns andcolors. but then he gave his ulterior motive. He asked the man to use his highly trained eyes to size his lanky, slender and malnourished friend up. He then further urged him into picking casual styles and cloth that wore well. Nothing overtly fancy, but good, sturdy clothing that would be warm, in colors that would complement his fair coloring. He expressed how he favored some browns, tans and dark greens in Theo's clothing, but would leave the exact tone of each to the tailor's descression. It was to be a secret.
The tailor assured him he would do his best, and will make the clothes as close to his size as possible, and charm them to do an auto-fitting once the young man put them on. The price would be much for that, but... Draco would approve of the amount. It was agreed they would be delivered a few days later.
He handed Draco the book with all he needed regarding the ties and followed him back to the couch.
"Ah, yez, sir. May I take ze coat, oui?" he asked, hand held out for Theo's coat as Draco, after setting aside the book, removed his cloak and handed it over. It was a ploy to get Theo standing so the man could get a quick look at his frame. He motioned for Theo to give over his coat, thanking the man as he took them away to be hung. Sitting next to his friend, he crossed his legs at the knee, and propped the book open upon them.
