Demi merely smiled in response to her sister's comment, saying no more on the topic as she took another drink of her coffee before setting it aside and turning half her attention on the pup in her lap. "You are such a nice daughter," she said, amused. Really, Demi couldn't blame her sister. After everything with their brother and father happened, even Demi found it difficult to be near their mother and around the old home.
