Lexi was not surprised by the immediate removal of Jewel from her reach. As inconsiderate as she was accused of being, Demi was already quite attached to the pup, despite any behaviour the other woman would "not stand for". Lifting her coffee to her lips, she raised an eyebrow and nodded toward the part of the muffin Demi had stolen. "I feed you," she muttered, resisting the urge to roll her eyes at the cooing. "If you'd rather I not feed her human food, which has to be an equal, if not better, option than the corn byproduct and preservatives in prepackaged dog food, then we need to make a deal because that," she paused there, indicating their current position, "has got to stop."
She didn't bother asking about the collar, as she knew it'd be some highly polished, fancy little accessory. Demi had a particular taste for that sort of thing. "There's a reason intelligent parents don't coo at their children. It robs them of a decent IQ."
Taking another bite of her muffin, she leaned back in the chair she was sitting in, arm pulled back to rest on the top of the backrest. "Anything exciting this morning?" She asked, curiously, "outside of you purchasing her a fashion accessory, of course?"
