Demi spent a long amount of time at the jewelers, consulting with one of their crafters as to what exactly she was wanting. They had a length of leather chosen, just perfect. They then looked through the collection of precious gems, selecting a handful of small gems. Then, after some deliberation, it was decided the gems would alternate between silver and gold plated setting - because gold alone is too soft of a metal to have on a dog collar, really now.
She left the jewelers having paid a hefty sum, making sure it would be ready in a speedy fashion, but would also be inlaid with charms that would have the collar grow and adjust right along with the still small pup. Despite the large sum that would be soon withdrawn from her Gringotts vault, Demi was in a good mood, pleased with how her day had continued on. Now all that was left was to stop by the cafe, with a quick pit stop to the Institute. She left her package with reception, knowing the necklace would be safe once inside the wards of the building. Then off she went.
Demi saw her twin before entering the shop, spying her through the cafe window, large as it was. Demi sighed as she saw Jewel with her and pushed inside. Seeing her coffee already purchased, Demi moved to the table her sister had acquired and sat down, scooping Jewel up and away from her fiendish twin, and stealing a chunk from her muffin top.
"Stop feeding her food she should not have. If you feed her food meant for us, she will develop a habit of begging, and I will not stand for that," she said, lecturing Lexi sternly. She then cuddled the small pup close, touching her nose to its wet little one. "You, pretty little thing, have a special present coming. I got you the most beautiful collar ever. You will look so pretty in it as you get bigger." And why yes, she was indeed talking to Jewel like one would talk to a baby.
