Unlike her sister, Lexi had no previously arranged outings for the day. She wasn't expected to report to the newly assigned dig site until later in the week and she wasn't going to arrive early to simply help those below her clear mud and foliage. She wasn't that devoted to her job and she certainly wasn't that interested in the items she was expected to find out in the middle of the rain forest. Instead, she'd stayed in bed while her sister dressed and headed about her day. Now normally this wouldn't have been an issue. Lexi was quite used to going about her day in a very different manner than Demi. Today, however, she had a playfully pupping biting at her bloody toes and a distinct lack of coffee in the place, neither of which were particularly entertaining.
After roughly half an hour and still Demi had not returned, Lexi dressed to go out. There were certain things in life that Lexi was good at and finding what she wanted just happened to be among them. Nothing stayed hidden for long when you knew where to look. The first and most likely option for Demi's whereabouts would be work, but there was little in the world that could get Lexi to willingly involve herself in the tedious pursuit of useless research. It might be useful to someone else, sure, but not her. Second, it was yet too early for lunch, which left the remaining options rather limited and easy to pick through.
Arriving in Diagon Alley with Jewel tagging along beside her; no collar, no leash, and an easily tweaked ward to keep the pup within an eight foot perimeter from her, Lexi headed to the one place she knew Demi would turn up. Sooner rather than later, Coffee would be in order and there was only one place Lexi bought her coffee. Sure, Demi would be free to buy her coffee wherever she pleased, but Lexi knew she wouldn't bother showing back up with a cup for her twin if it wasn't Lexi's favourite. And Demi rarely showed up without a coffee for her.
Reaching the cafe without an initial sighting of the familiar brunette, Lexi grabbed both of their coffees and a banana muffin before finding a seat and promptly tearing the bottom of the muffin into little pieces before feeding it to Jewel. Whether or not she was suppose to have the animal in the cafe made no nevermind to her and no one seemed willing to approach her otherwise. Not that it mattered. "You have more table manners than half the idiots in here, don't you?" she smirked, holding out another piece of muffin.
