"You fell in through the roof, of course," Lily murmured, a faint smile touching her lips before she gazed at him. She could think of a thousand and one arguments as to why this was a really bad idea, but she couldn't make herself voice them. Selfish? Very likely.
"I wonder ... how everything's going to work," she murmured. "The going back part. I mean, unless they put me back directly where I came from, won't there be two of me?" What, she wondered, would happen to the other one? Would she (it?) simply fade away?
There was undoubtedly going to be a very messy complication when she had to tell everyone about calling off the wedding, and introducing a man none of them had ever seen before. A little grin played over her lips before she shook her head. That was ... going to be a very, very interesting homecoming -- especially if she never went missing.
