"You sound thrilled," she pointed out, her breath warm against his throat as she spoke. Her fingertips toyed lightly with the hair at the back of his neck, tugging lightly.
"So come back with me then," she urged softly. "You can be a Muggle in a magical world. Perform in Diagon Alley, show them all how you make fire without magic. You'll be a hit," she murmured, only ... she wasn't really kidding. Well, about the performing part she was, but not the rest of it. "You know Jaime's probably going back with Mal," she pointed out. "So come with me."
Lily drew her head back, brown eyes focused intently on John's face. She was pleased to be going home, and she would miss him, but she didn't think he really needed her to actually answer either of those questions.
