Mal shook his head, "Somethin' about it doesn't sit right with me, either," he admitted. Maybe they were both jaded, but he thought her point about it being too convenient was right on target.
"I'd be happy to be wrong, but I reckon I won't be surprised either if we end up right back in the lab. Not to mention, they got us once. Even if these folks are on the up and up, who's to say we won't just be snatched up again when we get home?"
He didn't think he'd relax right away, even if he did make it back to Serenity. Maybe there was some sort of security measures they could take; obviously they'd been too lax or the scientists were just too good and they were screwed no matter what they did.
