He wrapped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her gently against his side and holding her as he followed her into the silence. He briefly wondered if she would want to come back to his world, but that ... would also get complicated quickly if he freed Veronica. Giving her a gentle squeeze, he pressed his lips to the top of her head.
"Good. I'd want you to change things to," he admitted, rubbing his hand against her upper arm. If they were going to say goodbye, he at least wanted to know she wasn't going home to die in a couple years.
"I suppose if you really wanted to change things, bringing an old sorcerer back from another reality would shake things up," he offered and while there was a teasing lilt to his voice, he meant it. He had a feeling things in his world would carry on with or without this version of him in it. He wanted to be with her, but at the same time, he would understand if she wanted a shot to live the life with James that had been taken from her before.
Licking his lips, he went on, "I mean it. I'll go with you if you want me," he tilted his head to gaze down at her before adding, "but don't feel obligated. I don't want you to miss out on things in your world because of me."
