Self defense: Self-defense is a set of awareness, assertiveness, verbal confrontation skills with safety strategies and physical techniques that enable someone to successfully escape, resist and survive violent attacks. A good self-defense course provides psychological awareness and verbal skills, not just physical training.
As part of my senior project at Altamont Academy, I am putting together a self defense workshop. The first one will be on Monday, March 24th with another session sometime in April. If you are interested in signing up for the self defense class, please do so by dropping me a comment here.
There are many great reasons as to why you should study real self defense and I hope to convince you to try at least a class or two. Here's a list of 5 great reasons to come to the workshop: 1. IT'S FREE. 2. The skills passed on in the workshop are simple to learn and simple to apply should you ever have to use them. 3. Fitness. The classes are fun, but also a workout. 4. Confidence. Hopefully you will never get into a confrontation. But should it ever happen, you can be confident in having learned how to control a violent situation. 5. Fun. Aside from being informative, the workshop will also be fun. You'll get a great workout, learn useful knowledge and more.
