Amelia was more than a little perplexed at such comments and questions. Perhaps her grandfather was an undertaker. That would explain the need for him where people die. But undertakers were in all cities. What, in particular, made Susan's grandfather so special? And how was it that he was "everywhere", as the younger woman put it?
"I have not noticed either way, to be honest." It wasn't like she'd gone looking for a funeral home. It simply had not occured to Amelia. But now that the idea had been brought up, it was high on her list of things to look for next. After a job and a new residence, that was.
"It's paradise. Perhaps accidents don't even happen here. They certainly make it out that nothing could be anything but perfect here." The comment held more than a little sarcasm.
"Miss Susan...," Amelia gave the woman a questioning look. She was certain that whatever answer Susan gave her would be very important. "...what exactly is it your grandfather does?"
