My dad is still waiting to hear back about disability, so he and my mom won't be able to afford anything for my birthday. I know it's a bit early, but it takes things a while to ship. Anything would be appreciated, including used items. |

1. Amazon wl (a thousand hugs and kisses to anyone who gets me anything Heroes, Gilmore Girls, or Milo Ventimiglia related) 2. Paid LJ time and icons for princess_loser 3. Chocolate (no peanut butter) 4. Clothes/Pajamas (2X tops, 3X bottoms - any style) 5. TV on DVD 6. Gift Cards 7. Stuffed Animals 8. Books (Chick Lit, Romances, Cookbooks) 9. CDs (any style) 10. Something from ThinkGeek 11. Gryffindor stuff 12. Bookmarks 13. Mix CDs 14. an HDTV (a girl can dream right?) 15. Anything autographed by Milo Ventimiglia, Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio, or Orlando Bloom 16. A copy of the DSM-IV 17. Girly stuff 18. Earrings (must be real gold or silver because of metal sensitivity, not greed) 19. Anything from Heroes, POTC, HP, Buffy, or Titanic 20. Dog toys for my pets so that they can have Christmas presents, too
None of the stuff has to be new, except the chocolate. I think used stuff is cool, too, as long as it is in good/working condition.
Anything would be greatly appreciated. This year has been especially rough on my family. My dad has been out of work for several years now, and is trying to get on disability. My mom can't work because of her disabilities. (I'm also on disability.) There has been a lot of sucky stuff going on this year. Any of this stuff would bring a huge smile to my face.

Basics and Rules |
|
|

Based on the meme @ holiday_wishes.
STEP ONE - Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your IJ. The post should contain your list of 20 wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]
STEP TWO - Surf around your friends-list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
