Marcus had a feeling that things were likely to get a bit interesting. And not in the sense that he was already contemplating what else he could get out of his new neighbour -- even though he most certainly was (and if his conscience had more control of his thoughts, this would be the time when Marcus was reminded that he had something of a girlfriend and pulled back). But he was sure he wasn't going to go there simply because she was his neighbour and that might make things awkward.
"It would be greatly appreciated," Marcus said, the same pleasant expression on his face, even as he unlocked the door to his flat, shifting the box into one arm as he did so. He pushed the door open, standing back and giving her a look. "Ladies first," a moment later he added, "Marcus Flint. And it's certainly a pleasure to meet you."
