Penelope gave him a sympathetic smile, knowing how much it frustrated him when the younger players didn't take things as seriously as they should. Yes, it's Quidditch and yes, it's supposed to be fun, but when you're getting paid for it, there are certain standards that need to be met and no one enforced that more than Oliver. "I think the younger kids just get caught up in the fact that they're getting paid to play Quidditch and they forget that when they play professionally, it becomes a job, not just something they can do for fun. Sometimes they have to be reminded that responsibilities come with being on a professional team and if they keep forgetting, I'm sure you'll have some Hogwarts graduates lining up to tryout in a few months."
Saying that her day was busy was an understatement. She was usually busy, but today had been complete chaos. Just thinking about work made her feel exhausted. "Yeah, it was unusually hectic for this time of year. A couple of the Aurors in training were sent in today. If they actually make it through the training program, I can already tell that they'll have beds reserved for them in the Spell Damage ward," she told him. Those kids had disaster waiting to happen written all over them.
Penelope laughed at the wide grin that spread across his face before leaning forward to press a kiss to his lips. "Another baby," she repeated. "I know we never really talked about having any more kids after Chris, but... I'm really glad we're having another. I realised today that I'm really ready for all of the things that come with having a baby, like their first smile and picking out a name and even the all-nighters... and baby blankets," she said, smiling as she slid Charlotte's blanket between her fingers.
