Azah's favourite thing about being the person isn't in charge had absolutely nothing to do with telling people what to do. She didn't want to boss people around (unless it was like really necessary for some reason, and then she didn't have any problem whatsoever in getting opinion across). It was the fact that there was no one to boss her around. She could spend the busy part of lunch and dinner services in the kitchen doing what she did best, and then in the slower parts of the day she could be in the front, talking to customers and the like.
She'd just sat a middle-aged couple down in a booth with a wide smile, letting them know that a waitress would be with them shortly, and was heading back to the stand in case someone else had shown up in that span of time. Spotting the figure waiting, she frowned just slightly, as he was familiar to her but she couldn't exactly remember from where. Which, wasn't exactly the important part, she decided.
"Hi, welcome to Dem's," Azah stated once she reached the stand once more, her voice pleasant and friendly. It was pretty much her default setting all the time, though. "Is it going to be just you?"
