Rolf didn't really want to run away from Luna. He just couldn't understand her. Sometimes he found himself observing her the very same way he observed animals, trying to find a way to her through the study of her behaviour. And then, the awareness that he was doing so and the fear that she might have noticed him watching her inevitably made him feel even more awkward around her.
"All... all right," he nodded, heading for the corner of the communal tent where the new supplies had been stocked. "Yes, here they are," he said out loud, separating the ingredients for pudding from the rest of the shopping - mostly consisting of canned goods or other items that didn't require much preparation.
