Who: Julia and Marcus What: Business Meeting Calendar Drinky Thing Time When: Wednesday evening Where: The Log Inn
Battling her pleasure at getting appointed to the committee for the upcoming Quidditch calendar with her unease over having a drink with Marcus Flint, Julia vanished her lime green robe to her laundry at home and donned her cloak. Primarily working day shifts, Julia’s schedule had ruled out the suggestions of lunch or tea, and given Marcus’ wholly vacant schedule at present, she had also assumed the idea of a breakfast meeting would be met with insistence that the restaurant serve bloody marys and dense, greasy fare that could help neutralize whatever alcohol had been ingested the night before. The idea of dinner had other connotations in her mind, and the hour was strange for coffee, so Julia had resorted to a fallback business sort of phrase, and offered to ‘meet for a quick drink’ after her shift, to discuss Marcus’ input on the calendar.
The Log Inn had yet to really pick up for the evening, something which Julia didn’t mind, what with the amount of attention Marcus seemed able to draw in a crowd. She chose a table against a wall and ordered a Rob Roy from the waitress, perusing the menu of happy hour appetizers while she waited.
