Justin's nerves had been high for the past couple of days. He had missed far too many meals, didn't sleep right and was certain that this was going to go to hell. With everything happening, it just seemed fitting that something would go wrong. One of their players would be outed as a potion abuser, there would be protesters at the stadium - something would happen to gum up the works. But this morning he woke up, the sun came out and he had a good feeling about this. Or rather he tired really hard to ignore the feeling he still couldn't shake even after multiple conversations with Vicky. But the stadium was packed, the people where in a good mood and all of the players seemed to be excited for the folly that would follow. Even the weather had decided to cooperate and it looked like the rain was going to hold off until after the match. Justin had milled around the nice boxes for the first half of the match, chatting with various donors and supporters of The Macmillan Foundation and The Colin Project. While today was about a bit of fun, it was also about education and of course bringing in some money to help fund the various initiatives the foundation operated. By half time he was sure, that the day was going to go off with a hitch. They already had a good number of donations secured and the match was going well. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Just as the spectators were heading back to their seats his fears became founded and it practically made his stomach drop. He froze seeing the dark mark waver in the air just above the pitch. God, he hadn't seen that in years. No one had and he could hear the collected gasp among the spectators just before the panic set in. This was not happening. It couldn't be happening. |
