"That makes sense," Azah said in reply as she stirred her coffee idly. She wondered for a moment if there was anything else Sana had left back in New England, but decided she wasn't going to ask that because meeting for coffee was not a sign of getting back together.
"I don't really," she said with a frown of regret. "Even if I had a good eye for anything outside of the kitchen, I spend way too much time here to be all that up to date." She shrugged. And didn't that sound bad that she admitted to pretty much not having a life outside of the restaurant? Was Sana going to now think she'd been a loveless loser for the past seven or so years? Damn it.
