Who: Angelina Johnson & Cho [Chang] Davies.
Where/When: Tuesday evening, Davies household.
Rating: PG-13?
Summary: Angelina needs to talk, but doesn't want to talk. And Cho is the best person to do that with.
Angelina was not in a good mood. Of course that was most likely the understatement to end all understatements. Angelina actually couldn't remember when had been the last time she'd been in a good mood. A genuinely good mood. And it had all come to a head last Saturday, hadn't it, because she'd had that argument with George. And it had gone even further downhill from there, because she hadn't been able to concentrate and she was almost completely sure it was her fault that the Magpies lost their match (which, it wasn't, but Angelina was a sore loser and it was easier to accept the blame for the game than to even consider talking to George). Sunday and Monday, from what Angelina remembered hadn't been much better days, if she rated them. But that was based on what she remembered, and considering that there had been a good amount of drinking, she could surely say that maybe her memories shouldn't be trusted. George had taken Roxie and gone elsewhere, which was just fucking fine by Angelina, because she didn't want him here anyway. And it was easier to remain stubborn and angry without Roxie around, too. If Angelina had felt like being mature about it -- and she didn't -- she might have at least made the attempt to offer an olive branch, but she didn't. And so there it was. Three days after their fight, and Angelina hadn't seen either George or Roxie for more than the twenty minutes on Monday. Which left her alone in the house for longer than she'd liked with more time to think on the past few days. More time than she'd wanted to devote to it. And it had all sort of led to seeking out Cho. She could have went to Katie, but there was a certain amount of... unsteadiness in Angelina that made her unsure if she'd just hang out with Cho, or if she'd end up talking about things. And she and Katie didn't do that whole talking about feelings thing well. Before Alicia died, and definitely since then. Cho was pretty good for that, though, at least she had been the other times. And hopefully she'd be again. But mostly, Angelina was just looking for company. Biting her lip, Angelina knocked on Cho's door before crossing her arms over her chest as she waited. |
