Lorcan, upon hearing Hugo's voice, turned a bright and vicious shade of pink. He laughed half-heartedly as he lay somewhat motionless on the ground, looking up. He smiled warmly as Hugo offered him a hand and he took it instantly, popping to his feet. "I thought I might see what it looked like to grow right out of the ground," he said calmly as he righted his chair. Folding his arms, Lorcan contemplated having a seat again, but caution and politeness kept him and instead he leaned against the desk, facing Hugo.
"Anyway, what're ye doing here? I thought you...," Lorcan looked down at Hugo's bag slowly. It seemed to be growling. With a furrowed brow, Lorcan turned his attention back to Hugo. "What've you got stashed away?" His face relaxed and a rather comical, but entirely suspicious smirk replaced his otherwise skeptical look.
Lorcan had payed attention to his Care of Magical Creature classes, and he couldn't help absorbing some information from his parents, but wizarding creatures were not his first thought. Instead, he reached out and poked the bag. "Did you shrink a dog?" Where he got a dog, Lorcan never could've guessed. But as he leaned back against the desk, he bumped his journal and something dawned on him. "The toupe!" he said at last, eyes nearly as wide as the smile on his face. His expression then became very serious. "It growls?"
