Who: EVERYONE! When: June 9! Where: Ministry of Magic Rating: PG-13?
Professor McGonagall nearly had a heart attack when Hestia Jones-Shacklebolt came through her fireplace with no warning. With a hand over her heart, she rose to greet the woman, but stopped mid-sentence when she saw the look on the other woman's face.
"Kingsley hasn't come home," Hestia said in a quiet, nearly panicked sort of voice. "No one's come home from the Ministry! Not for a day now. No one can floo there. It's sealed off. They're in there, Minerva. Everyone's being held captive."
McGonagall gasped sharply before whipping around as fast as she could to grab her wand off of the desk, "Have you told Harry and the others?"
Hestia nodded, "Harry and Ron are getting The Order set up. Hermione's doing some work on figuring out what kind of spells have got them sealed in there. Oliver Wood went to go around to collect some people who might help fight. Everyone's at Harry and Ginny's place for the most part, even some of their kids that are old enough to fight. Harry's not happy about that... I want to take Thor and Discordia home. I want them at home with me while this goes on."
Minerva McGonagall nodded and quickly sent a Patronus to the Gryffindor Tower alerting Neville Longbottom of what was going on and to come to her office. She did the same to all of the other Heads of House. While she waited, she conjured Hestia a glass of water and tried to figure out the plan in her head. She had to leave some of the Professor's here to watch the students...
Neville burst through the door with Thor and Discordia Shacklebolt trailing behind him, both looking frightened. Discordia ran to her mother and burst into tears, asking if someone had died. Thor, a little more calm, gave McGonagall a panicked look before asking his mother what had happened. After a brief discussion, they were back through the floo and off toward their home.
McGonagall turned to Neville and gave a hearty sigh, "It's happening again."
"We've got to go help," Neville said firmly. "We can't just --"
The other Heads of House filed in, interrupting Neville's sentence. They, too, looked worried as they crowded around the Headmistress's desk and asked questions.
"The Ministry is under attack. It's workers are being held captive," she explained. "I'm going there. Filius, you're in charge while I'm gone. I need a few Professor's to stay behind and watch the students. Try to keep tabs on everyone. Block off my room and all Professor's rooms, they've got floo's and I do not want any of the younger ones sneaking out. If they're 17 or over, send them along. I can't just for them. I expect half the Weasley-Potters to be barging through here demanding they go, and all of their friends," Minerva said wryly. "Neville has opted to come along. Anyone else?"
"I will," Adrian Pucey suggested with a shrug of his shoulders. "I'll fight. I know people who might be stuck there. Lets get them free."
McGonagall nodded as Professor Flitwick and Professor Arrowby both declined. She gave them orders for staying behind.
"Hagrid. Hagrid will want to fight," McGonagall said with a small sigh. "Grab a few teachers that are able to fight and we'll head off to the Potter's place first to see if we can meet up with them. Otherwise, we're going straight to the Ministry from there."
Flitwick and Arrowby took off to get some of the other teachers and send up any 17+ students that wanted to fight as well. McGonagall, Neville Longbottom, and Adrian Pucey worked out some plans while they waited. Not even ten minutes later, a small handful of Professor's were assembled and ready to go. Flitwick was going to watch the floo and monitor any students that came through.
The Potter's place was chaotic.
Harry and Ron were barking orders, while Ginny was bustling around trying to calm whoever might be starting to worry. When the Professor's arrived, Ginny was hunched over Hannah Longbottom, who was worried Neville had run off to fight and she didn't know. Upon there arrival, Hannah through herself into Neville's arms while Ginny sat back and watched with a soft smile.
Hermione Weasley was sitting at the table, ignoring everyone else while writing as quickly as she could on a piece of parchment. McGonagall leaned over to ask what she was doing and met a pair of fearful brown eyes.
"Rosie and Hugo," Hermione said. "They'll come. They'll want to. I'm telling them no."
McGonagall pursed her lips, but refrained from commented. She half expected both Rose and Hugo to burst through the door at any minute, if they hadn't gone straight to the Ministry. Oliver Wood came back through the door then, with a few people following him. His own daughter trailed behind them alongside Molly Weasley (the younger one), both looking pumped and ready to go.
"ALRIGHT!" Harry shouted and quieted everyone. "We have to fight. If we don't, they'll try to bring back Voldemort. We've got to get to the Ministry. Hermione figured out some of the spells they're using and we're going to try to counter them. We'll have to take the Visitor's entrance, think."
"Lets annihilate these Knights bastards," Ron added, his eyes narrowed. Hermione gave him a look and he merely rolled his eyes at her.
The large group piled outside the Potter's house and began to Apparate to the Visitor's entrance to the Ministry of Magic.
