Alice could hear his little heart a puttering away but she didn't think anything off it. It wasn't unusual for them to be so close, where she could hear his heart beat, and frankly, it was always a little quick. At least as far as she knew. And if there were ever a more oblivious girl than Alice, she might have been dead, for she truly had no idea how much control she unconscious exerted over him.
"Not my dad?" Alice couldn't believe that Neville would ever give anyone a hard time - well, apart from herself. She looked confused at him, but she didn't find it necessary to probe, and nestled back into his chest, tucking her nose where it might get some warmth for once. Alice didn't once consider what they looked like - her mind was too busy flitting around with thoughts of how much she loved being around Sam and how much better she felt now that he was there. She purred again at the kiss on her head and nuzzled him.
Alice let out her first true laugh at him comment and scoffed. "You've got to be kidding me. I know for a fact you love our wrestling matches and your bruises." She pinched his arm and laughed. Alice reluctantly let go of him with a big frown, but as his arm stayed over her shoulder, she nestled into his nook and walked slowly beside him. "I'm not always adorable?" she grilled him playfully. She turned to greet a few of her friends as they passed and she indicated they would be going to Gryffindor tower.
"How were your classes today?" Alice couldn't figure out if she wanted to talk about her class yet, so she let the topic spread through the air for a bit.
