It's a Girl-Fight! Who: Rose Weasley and Artemis Harper. When: November 10th, 2024; after curfew. Where: One of the halls of Hogwarts! What: Rose spots Artemis in the halls and they 'talk'. Rating: PG-13, possibly for language.
Rose Weasley let out a soft sigh as she prepared herself for the nightly rounds. She had considered asking Joseph Dawlish to come out with her and get them done quicker, but she thought it best to leave him alone. He'd been sick lately and had girl problems (so she'd heard) and the last thing she wanted was to hear about those problems or get sick herself. So, she went alone, hoping he didn't forget to do his share.
She had left her robes in her dormitory and instantly regretted it. Hogwarts was chilly, especially the halls near the dungeons. She hated patrolling there, but McGonagall had insisted that no corner go un-checked. The Headmistress had apparently heard word from the Hogsmeade staff that Hogwarts students had been sneaking out more often this year and so, McGonagall expected Rose to be sure to catch these people before they snuck off and got killed.
As if she wanted more responsibilities right now. She had enough to worry about with Hugo getting into fights and her family's name being brought up in the paper every other day.... Scorpius was still around at least, so that was a bit of relief, but who knew what would happen to them after Hogwarts? Who knew what would happen during these last months here? Would more people die? Would the Knights come to Hogwarts? No one could be sure, but Rose suspected things wouldn't get any better for a while.
A noise from nearby jostled Rose from her thoughts. She instinctively clutched her wand tighter, raising it just slightly before calling out, "Who's there? It's after curfew you know. You should be in bed."
