She looked at him a little strangely, and Freddie wondered, not for the first time, what was going through her head, but she soon smiled and they proceeded up the staircase. Her wounded expression when he had let go of her after the hug seemed to swim in front of his eyes. His heart was pounding furiously in his chest, though he hoped he was hiding it quite well, for the moment at least.
When they arrived in the kitchen, which was all tasteful wood-panelling and country-kitchen touches provided by his gran, Freddie began fussing with teabags and sugar bowls. "Ordinary or Earl Grey?"
He carried the tea into the living room, levitating it in front of them. He knew it was probably getting late-- he'd have to send Alice packing off back to the castle soon or he'd get her into trouble. And Neville might have a few stern words for Freddie too, though Fred wasn't sure Professor Longbottom had any idea that Alice and Fred were back on speaking terms. "I better walk you up after this. Your dad might be annoyed if he thinks I've kept you out after hours."
OOC: Shall we wrap them up since the dance is like TONIGHT?
