Alice watched Freddie intently, scrutenizing the lines and creases of his face and trying to discern his reaction. When his lips finally stretched into a smile, Alice felt a wave of relief was over her. She opened her mouth, and started to tell him how glad she was that he liked it. It was then that he pulled her into a hug and Alice thought her heart might fall through to her feet. She barely had a chance to react before he released her; Alice could not disguise the disappointment on her face. Alice tucked a bit of hair behind her ear while staring at his shoes. Somewhere alice found the courage to look back up and she smiled. "Let's go put some tea on and imprint this bugger, eh?" She would be glad for the distraction but now that she had a taste, she didn't want to be anywhere apart from his arms.
