It wasn't as if Alice hadn't felt the tension as well, but she preferred to skirt around it rather than confront it head on. After all, this was suppose to be fun. Right?
"Of course it's good!" Alice grinned, catching his eyes. She had made special care too good, even if that wasn't what he was noticing. As he got closer to her, Alice felt her heart beat a little harder. Keep it together, she thought softly. Alice put out her hand, but it was empty. Her grin became bigger. Alice turned her hand over and rolled her wrist and as her hand turned palm up again, there was a small square thing wrapped in paper sitting in her hand. She waited for him to take it before she would explain it eagerly.
