The morning she was supposed to meet Isabella, Caroline realized that they hadn’t really agreed on a spot. Not one to be impulsive, this put the young Pureblood into a bit of a tizzy. She frantically tired to contact Isabella but to no avail.
Again, her mother hadn’t wanted her to go out to meet people. However, the Barbary surname had earned her mother’s grudging agreement. Luckily, she hadn’t found out about Caroline going to the Weasley’s shop last time she was in Diagon Alley. If she had, Caroline surely would have spent the rest of break grounded…
Dressing in the same long, black leather trench coat she had worn to Diagon Alley just after Christmas, Caroline went for a more risqué outfit. She wore a very casual, green and red jumper with a Muggle rock band t-shirt hidden beneath that she was not sure would ever show anyone. For pants she wore a pair of slightly-baggy blue jeans as well as white trainers on her feet.
Her outfit was, by normal standards, a tiny act of rebellion but to Caroline it felt like much more. She had waited to change until she left the house and planned to owl post the outfit to Hogwarts.
She just hoped none of her parent’s friends saw her…
Caroline heard Isabella’s voice and smiled happily. Hugging her, she pulled back and felt a tiny bit self conscious about her manner of dress. “Hi! It’s so great to see you. My break has been…” She trailed off and shrugged.
“How was break with Albus? Having fun?” she asked excitedly. Though she was a little jealous still, her myriad of crushes had made it easier to accept Albus and Isabella.
