Caroline chuckled, amused by Isabella’s choice of words. “Does that mean you are advising I not be so reserved with other girls?” she teased lightly, trying to ease some of the awkwardness since her admission earlier. “So, I should stop and see Alex when I return?”
Despite everything, Caroline was starting to feel less shy and awkward about things. It felt so much better to be able to talk to someone about it.
“I’m sure they’ll be great,” Caroline responded. Gathering up her own purchases, she followed Isabella to the cashier. Fiddling with her Muggle money, it took her some time to figure out exactly what to give the cashier. Luckily for her, the cashier was honest and handed her back some bills when she overpaid.
Stepping out of the store, Caroline was trying to decide where she would hide her things that her parents couldn’t find them. “What are you…going to do with your bags?” she asked, wondering if Isabella was going to need to hide the Muggle clothes as well.
