Head's at Work! Who: Joseph Dawlish & Rose Weasley! When/Where: 19th of December, doing Head Boy & Girl duties together around Hogwarts! Rating: Well, Joe's involved so that probably means PG-13. Haha :P. Summary: Doing Head Boy and Girl rounds
Headmistress McGonagall had recommended that Rose and Joe start doing more rounds together. As Head Boy and Head Girl, they didn't really work on a lot of things around Hogwarts together, which, according to the Headmistress, was "quite a difference" from the previous years Head Boy's and Girl's. Rose had felt a little guilty, because she'd gone off and done a lot of things herself, and so had Joe... well, whenever he was feeling responsible. She remembered with a smile the detention he gave recently over the Journals for somene backtalking him. He acted so responsible over that, it'd been funny. So, they had decided to do some rounds together. Rose hated doing rounds, because honestly? If she were hiding out in a broom closet or the Astronomy Tower shagging, she certainly wouldn't want to be interrupted. If people couldn't sleep, why sit in bed or in the common room? Walking was so much better for clearing one's head. But, as Head Girl, she had to be responsible and set a good example to her classmates.
She leaned against the Gryffindor common room, waiting for Joe. She probably could have just knocked or asked Lucy or Hugo to let her in, but she'd decided to wait. Rose leaned against the wall, her red hair rather messy and wild today. After making it nice and sleek for the dance, she hadn't wanted to take much effort now. Besides, she had no need to impress Joe. She had a lingering suspicion that he found her to be a bit of an annoyance than anything else. She shifted her weight to another foot, crossing her arms over her robes. Rose was still a bit worried, wondering if Scorpius was going to be pulled out of school any day now, she'd been trying to resist the urge to go check up on him. She wasn't his mother and he could, hopefully, fight for himself... and if not, Rose hoped he would come to her for help. Because she would. She'd help with anything.
Rose shook her head, resisting the thoughts that were clouding her mind. She would get these rounds over with without feeling irritable and anxious. Joe, as irresponsible as he seemed sometimes, he didn't need to deal with her sillyness. She glanced over toward the Portrait Hole door.
