Piper groaned loudly. It was not that she did not like Isabella, just not being the center of attention. She had to admit that the guesture was sweet and welcome, just that she did not want to be the center of attention.
Then there was the confetti. It was all over the place, especially in her hair. Not that it was not easily gotten rid of. After all, a simple charm could make it vanish. She was pretty sure Isabella wanted it there to make a statement with it.
Piper laid her head on the table in embarassment. That way people could not see the blush on her face. No one ever made a big scene about her birthday before. Typically, she just got a card and a few small gifts from her parents and sister.
Looking up, Piper took the gift Isabella handed her. "Thanks Bella.."
She wondered what was in the box. Especially, since she had to open it later when the Professors were not around. That was what she assumed she meant when she said not to open it there. It made her worry slightly just want the girl had put in the box. Should she be afraid or not about what is in the box?
