Sam couldn’t help but absently gape while she licked at her fingers. She was unknowingly provoking him. However, he swallowed nervously and dragged his eyes away. No. She was a friend, and nothing more. Nothing more. The infatuation was scarcely under control, and he had wondered if he could keep it up. Sam usually had confidence in himself, so he doubted that his control would smother…for now.
He quirked a brow at her. “I purchased it with my own money, Sissy. I totally deserve them!” he exclaimed teasingly. When Alice had ambushed him, his back fell flat against the mattress, but held the cannoli securely over his head and pulled it up a laugh barking out of his chest as she growled at him. “Oh, sweetheart, you need to do better than that,” he challenged with a stick of his tongue at her. But he didn’t forget the close proximity between them. Actually, it kind of worried that she’ll feel him getting a tad too excited.
So to prevent her from feeling that from his shorts, he flipped her over followed by a laugh and climbed on her on all floors, the cannoli abandoned and dropped into the box while he pinned her down flat on the bed, “HA!”
