Who: Isabella Barbary, Caroline Spungen When/Where: 4pm, The Lake Rating: PG Summary: Isabella meets up with Caroline in order to talk and hang out since they haven't had a chance in a while.
Isabella smiled happily as she stepped outside and was met by a burst of fresh air. The brisk wintry air always made her feel a little better. It was stuffy inside the castle.
Of course she had changed out of her uniform and into her jeans. The skirt part of the uniform was unpractical for the winter. No, Bella much preferred her brightly colored scarves and worn jeans to the uniform any how. The school uniforms were drab and made her feel like a just a nameless face in the crowd. She liked to stand out. So, she had a wide array of colorful clothing.
What were they were going to talk about? Bella could think of a million things she wanted to talk about, but that was not always the best idea. Maybe this time she would let Caroline lead the conversation. Bella felt like she tended to monopolize the conversation when she talked to people. It was a bad habit she needed to get out of. It was not that she was self-centered, it was that she hated silence. It made her feel awkward so she filled it with conversation; even if it meant that she had to supply the conversation.
When Caroline arrived she greeted her friend with a cheerful and bright hello. It was easy to be bubbly and warm when she really was glad to see someone. After her fallout with Piper, Bella was glad to have the friends she had. She was so overjoyed she would have normally hugged her friend, but she refrained from doing that. The last thing she wanted was to make Caroline feel uncomfortable. So, instead, she settle for the safety of asking the girl how she was doing.
