Characters: Artemis Harper, Louis Weasley [Open] When/Where: October 20th / The Quidditch Pitch Summary: Just a little one on one. Rating: PG
Artemis was perched precariously on the inside ledge of one of the higher goal posts, her mind wandering to the various issues that had arose in the past couple of days. It had always been one of her favourite places to think. It was an added bonus that the view of the grounds was great from up there.
She had headed outside the moment dinner had ended, forgoing her Quidditch robes for the pair of jeans and the cardigan she was already wearing. She'd been going absolutely batty all day and had needed to get outside. She didn't regret giving the team the week off, but without the regular practices she was more than a little restless. Of course, it had been that restlessness that had urged her to send an invite to Louis. She couldn't ask her team to come out and he had seemed nice enough the last time they'd been out here. She had figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Of course, it probably could hurt. That bloody scandal witch was causing quite the mess, particularly for poor Kerrigan. Artemis felt bad for the younger girl. She wasn't as bad as everyone seemed to be making her out to be. What was the big deal anyway? So, she kissed Hugo Weasley ... who happens to be the little brother of her Ex's current girlfriend ... who she doesn't like. Okay, so it sounded worse than it really was, but so what? She could bloody well snog whom ever she chose.
There was a part of herself that had cautioned Artemis not to do anything that might draw attention to her own actions. The last thing she wanted was to have to deal with the rumour mill. However, there was another part of her that simply shrugged. That particular part didn't give a hoot what that bloody witch wrote. If nothing else, her own actions might very well take some of the attention off of Kerrigan.
Swinging her feet slightly in the light breeze, she shook her head with a small sigh. The longer she spent at Hogwarts, the more complicated things seemed to get. Thank Merlin, she still had Quidditch.
