RP: Backdated Date: 5 September, after this Characters: Aidan Brown and Lucy Weasley Location: The Burrow Private/Public: Private Rating: (most likely PG to PG-13) Summary: Aidan has a proposition for Lucy.
This week had been chaotic for everyone. Aidan wasn't exempt. He attended an important meeting a few days prior, where his bosses announced to everyone involved in the production of Quidditch Wives that they were taking a two week break so they could shift things around in the production schedule and make due with the fact magic might not return to London anytime soon. People were outraged, especially those that needed the income from the show to support their families. They were equally concerned with the problems the lack of magic was causing in their daily lives. The production managers arranged payment plans for people so they wouldn't be without income and therefore their livelihoods and the well being of their families wouldn't be compromised in any way. Everyone was pleased with the fact the higher ups were willing to negotiate.
Once Aidan made his arrangement with his bosses he headed to his mother's home to discuss the magic situations. After this conversation they both came to the conclusion that Aidan would need to convert a substantial amount of his money into muggle money. Aidan had been opposed to this idea at first because he held out hope for the return of magic, but was eventually convinced that it was practical for him to convert his money. He got some help from his mother and grandmother; more so from his grandmother since she was muggle. The next issue that came to mind was Rayna and her baby situation. Luckily she had found herself a muggle job and since Aidan had helped her get an apartment she didn't have much to worry about, except attending her ob/gyn appointments for the baby when she was supposed to.
By the time Aidan decided to text Lucy he had squared away most aspects of his life. Things were in order in all areas of his life and yet he was still worried that he was missing something. He shrugged this off as paranoia until he realized he was thinking about the people around him that were affected due to the magic crisis. He knew that many of his friends were probably suffering and he wanted to help them. The first person that came to mind was Lucy. A part of him still loved her and probably always would. This part of him compelled him to text her immediately and after discovering that she was in her grandmother's home he decided to head over there to talk to her. He hoped the conversation would go over well.
Aidan hopped in the car he sometimes used when he attended ritzy events at the Ministry or PR events the cast of his show had to sometimes make appearances at. These events required a grand appearance or at least he was led to believe so. Who was he to deny them such a spectacle? He didn't like driving around regularly because he usually flooed or apparated everywhere he needed to go. What was the point of driving when you could be there in the blink of an eye? He did his best to find directions to the Burrow and made his way there as quickly as he could without driving dangerously fast in the process.
When he arrived to the Burrows' front yard he parked his car in front of the garage. He got out of the car and made his way around the back of the house, up the steps from the garden that spanned most the back and knocked on the back door. He knew that the Weasleys' kitchen was the center of life in their household and for this reason he decided to knock on this door; it meant he wouldn't have to wait long for someone to open the door. He was anxious to see Lucy, to speak to her and make sure she was well. He had to see with his own two eyes and was currently hoping Lucy would answer the door and not one of her relatives. He didn't mind he relatives in the least, he just had a sense of urgency right now.
