The television blared a program Albus watched loudly. He was in the basement, the foundation of the basement? Concrete. It was hard for much noise to penetrate through the upper floors so when he was down in his space, he could keep the television or music as loud as he wanted without bothering Shaylyn or anyone else.
He had been in bed all this time and seen signs of him getting better. He wasn't vomiting anymore. He wasn't hurting, well he still got a headache, but he didn't feel dead. Now he was a bit depressed, wished he was dead, of course no intentions on doing so, and he just wanted to have his attention caught so he chose to sit on his leather couch, in Shaylyn's pink robes, because his were filthy from being puked on and well hers was soft and it smelled like her. Besides, it wasn't like anyone else was in the house that would see. Beneath the robes he wore a white t-shirt and just a pair of his boxers... yeah he was styling.
He had been moody, although he was nowhere as mean as he was a couple days ago where he resorted to scream at Shaylyn like he was a spoiled little brat. Now he was just in his 'leave me alone' stage. Not really mad, just... there. He was no company pleasure, that's for sure.
He hadn't realized that anyone was down there until the knock came which got his attention. He turned the television off and looked around to see Shaylyn before turning back around, hearing how she brought him some water. "Thanks." He told her, turning the television back on but keeping it low. Well lower than what it was.
He didn't say anything when she spoke about speaking to Scorpius. He had already spoke to him and told him that he wanted him to move in still. He wouldn't take something like that back. It didn't matter if Scorpius drank or what he shared his bed with, he and Scorpius, although best mates, were their own separate beings. Besides Albus wouldn't say no to a drink in the future, he just wanted to get to where he could moderate. Because he used that as a cure for everything. Hungry but no food you liked? Drink. Can't sleep? Drink. Pissed off, sad or any emotion, even happy? Drink. Drink when something shitty happened, drink to celebrate something good. That's pretty much all he did so he just had to get himself in a stable place.
When she asked if he needed anything, he reached out his hand, holding it out for her to grab and when she did, he pulled her back to fall on his lap. It wasn't hard and he definitely wouldn't have let her miss and hit the floor. He wouldn't do anything to hurt her. Instead?
"I haven't had a hug yet." He told her. Well suppose he was feeling a bit more social as well. "You shouldn't be down here. Probably has it's own mushroom of smoke." But he kissed her. "I talked to Scorpius too and told him I was still interested but it's not because of any inability you have. It's just the place is big and we won't occupy everything, you know? Besides it gets him out of mummy and daddy's shadow for a little bit. Although it'll probably be like having two sets of in-laws." He said with a smirk.
Albus allowed his head to lay back against the sofa, rolling just right so he could look at Shaylyn. "Thanks." He said softly. "You didn't have to put up with me. You could have ran off at any time and I wouldn't blame you, you have yourself and the baby to worry about and yet you stayed around." He took her hand and held it to his lips for a kiss, his thumb caressing her skin.
"But since I'm making changes, you're going to have to make a lot of changes to. I want you chunky. I think you'll be cute chunky." He laughed. "My chunky monkey. But it'll be healthy for the baby and come on, any other time you complain because you want something to eat but then you want to watch your weight. Now you can have all the cheesecake, ice mice, chocolate, ice cream, cake that your heart desires and you don't have to worry about it. If I have to be healthy I want you to be too, deal?"
