He didn't have to tell her twice. Exclaiming "Finally," Corrie leaned back to take the food, starving by now (fish and chips could do that to you even if you weren't famished when you thought of them, and the smell had been really hard to ignore) and smiling faintly in thanks. She started munching immediately but feeling like she ought to stand up for her father somehow, managed to stop long enough to say, "Some are doing better than others. Dad's doing okay, he always liked muggle medicine anyway," before going back to stuffing her face.
And apparently he had been paying attention after all. It felt a little more comfortable now that the healer was gone, or at least not so ragingly awkward. It probably helped that they were both fully clothed. And it was hard to think about anything else when you were eating fish and chips, they were just so thoroughly real and normal.
Meanwhile Min, always helpful, began slowly rotating Corrie's sofa so she'd be better able to see Lorcan.
